San Juan, December 4, 2025. This result marks the end of the bidding process that began in July, which included site visits, technical consultations, proposal evaluations, and the first round of face-to-face business meetings with suppliers from Iglesia, Jáchal, and Guandacol. The participation of more than 260 local suppliers in the business rounds held in Rodeo and direct interaction with the bidding companies ensured transparency, competition, and real opportunities for territorial engagement.

The San Juan-based company will provide services to the camp for the five-year term of the contract. Vicuña will also work closely with the winning bidder to support and strengthen its installed capacity during the initial stages of operation.

"Vicuña represents an extraordinary opportunity for the development of San Juan, and working with local companies is essential to building a project with regional identity. We are committed to generating shared value and moving responsibly toward the next stages of development," said Ron Hochstein, CEO of Vicuña.

"Having selected a company from San Juan as the winner demonstrates that local development is not an abstract concept: we are putting it into practice in every decision, prioritizing talent and capacity in the province," said José Morea, Country Director for Argentina and Chile.

Caterwest's proposal stood out for its work plan, operational experience in demanding environments, and a clear strategy for integrating local suppliers into its supply chain.

"The decision is the result of a rigorous analysis of the proposals and an open and competitive process that allowed us to objectively evaluate the operational capacity and experience of each bidder. Caterwest presented a solid, realistic proposal that was aligned with the project's requirements," said Frank Cappadoro, Senior Director of Procurement and Supply Chain.
