We believe that sustainability is the way to generate a positive and lasting impact.

We are committed to the safety of people, care for the environment, and the building of shared prosperity, with organizational resilience as a key pillar to face the challenges of the future.

Sustainability Reporting.
Below you will find Filo del Sol and Josemaría's previous sustainability reporting and summaries, where we transparently share our progress, challenges and commitments to address key environmental, social and governance issues. Vicuña will begin publishing a single annual sustainability report and will work to improve its alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.

Transparency Reporting

As part of our commitment to transparency, we aim to support and promote key mechanisms, such as the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), to improve the governance of resource revenues, reduce opportunities for corruption and improve development outcomes in economies where mining plays a key role, such as Argentina and Chile. Prior to the formation of the joint venture, Josemaria and Filo del Sol contributed to the Argentina EITI Report 2022-2023, published in February 2025. The report details the tax and other contributions that they - and other mining companies active in Argentina - made to the government during that period.

In addition, as Vicuña is headquartered in Canada, the Government of Canada requires the company to publish annual reports on payments made to all levels of government - foreign and domestic - through the Extractive Sector Transparency Act (ESTMA). Here are links to our ESTMA reports for the past five years. (Josemaria's 2022, 2023 and 2024 ESTMA reports are integrated into Lundin Mining Corporation's corporate-level ESTMA reports for those years - found here).

We are committed to establishing fluid communication, based on trust and transparency. To this end, we created our feedback procedure, an active listening channel where we manage the concerns of individuals or interest groups related to Vicuña's activities.

Our path to sustainability

Following the commitment of our shareholder companies, we are moving forward with determination towards an integrated project, inspired by international standards, best practices and guidelines for modern and sustainable mining. Thus, we are in the process of orienting our actions in line with the principles of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), a globally recognized institution with extensive experience that promotes the performance of the sector to achieve, in a collaborative manner, safe, fair and sustainable mining.

In addition, prior to the creation of Vicuña, with our Josemaría project we were able to advance in the process of adhering to various programs that establish international quality and control standards, with the objective of guaranteeing responsible, transparent and reliable mining from an early stage. All this, in line with the ICMM principles that will serve as the basis for the sustainability approach at Vicuña.
