Vicuña welcomed influential communities and the National University of San Juan to its Visitor Program.

The group toured the project to learn about specific details such as the location of the deposits and daily operations at an altitude of over 4,000 meters.

San Juan, January 26, 2026. The 2026 Visits Program kicked off its first meeting of the year at the Batidero camp. Organized by Institutional Relations, the event was attended by UNSJ Vice Chancellor Andrea Leceta and beneficiaries of social investment programs in Jáchal and Iglesia. These spaces seek to bring the project closer to the community, share information, and continue building relationships through dialogue and closeness.

The first day focused on an induction session, where different areas of the project shared how they work at an altitude of over 4,000 meters, along with the main guidelines that guide development and daily operations. This session was designed to provide context, answer questions, and give a comprehensive overview of how the work is organized.

The second day included site visits, which provided an opportunity to see firsthand how tasks are carried out, how different activities are integrated, and how teams work on a daily basis. Through these experiences, the aim is to continue strengthening exchanges and ties with local communities, bringing the project closer to them in a direct and transparent manner.

The Institutional Relations department will continue to run this program until the start of the next Winter Plan. The initiative aims to invite different stakeholders to participate in close and fruitful meetings that promote active communication and consolidate long-term relationships.
