Vicuña held its first Business Round with suppliers from the area of influence

Within the framework of the
bidding process underway for the Integral Food Service,
cleaning and hotel services on site, Vicuña organized the first round of face-to-face business
with supplier companies from the departments of Iglesia, Jáchal and Guandacol, in order to promote the
Jáchal and Guandacol departments, with the aim of promoting local development and generating concrete
concrete opportunities of linking with the supplying companies.
The meeting was held on Monday July 14 and Tuesday July 15 at the Pismanta Tourism Node and brought together representatives of the seven companies currently in the running to provide this key service to our projects, with more than 260 local suppliers previously registered.
This initiative - which represented a pilot test - is part of our policy of strengthening the value chain with territorial identity, integrating the communities in each of the Project's progress stages.

A concrete linkage opportunity
The business round was carried out under an agile and planned format: each local supplier had 10 minutes per bidder to present its proposal, share its operational experience and detail its logistical capabilities. In total, each supplier had about an hour and a half of direct interaction with the bidding companies.
Of the participating suppliers, 60% were from Iglesia, 30% from Jáchal and the remaining percentage from Guandacol and other neighboring towns. All of them complied with the requirements established to participate in the space and prepared their presentation in advance.

From the Procurement team, Osvaldo Ruiz, superintendent of Contracts, said:
"We are very pleased with this first experience. It was a highly participative and respectful instance, where a genuine exchange was generated between the actors of the territory and the bidding companies. Undoubtedly, this encourages us to consolidate this type of spaces in future contracts, with a focus on local development and the construction of shared value".

Our commitment to local development
As part of the bidding process, each bidding company must present a Social Investment Plan, detailing how it will be linked to the communities and how it will integrate local suppliers into its supply chain. This responds to a strategic vision that guides our actions: to ensure that the growth of the Project translates into real opportunities for the environment.
