Vicuña starts the bidding process for the contracting of drilling services

It is for drilling in the areas of Filo del Sol and Josemaría deposits. The development of local employment and strengthening of the supplier ecosystem as the axis.

September 18, 2025. Vicuña started the bidding process for the contracting of a diamond drilling service, key for the 2026 Exploration Campaign that will contribute to the progress of the integrated project. This is the first step of a scheme that foresees different stages, including a technical visit to the site and spaces for consultations with potential bidders, prioritizing a strict schedule and maximum care for the safety and health of people.

The challenge is to carry out an intensive work plan in high mountains to achieve an ambitious drilling objective in the Filo del Sol and Josemaría deposit areas. Drilling will be carried out in Argentina and Chile, at more than 4,000 meters above sea level, in the middle of the Andes Mountains. Formal invitations were sent to potential bidders in both countries, identified by Vicuña's Supply area. Likewise, the mining suppliers' chambers of San Juan were notified about the opening of the process.

The selection process will include several stages: site visits, inductions for bidders on Vicuña's vision and local development standards, consultation and clarification, presentation of proposals and a rigorous evaluation for the awarding of the contract
.

As part of the sustainable development policy, an evaluation criterion will be linked to bidders' proposals that promote employment and the purchase of local goods and services through a Social Management Plan. In addition, each bidder
will be asked to submit a proposal detailing how they will engage with the community and how they plan to generate value.

This competitive bidding process reinforces Vicuña's commitment with the strengthening of a supplier ecosystem that makes possible the progress of our Project.
