We held the first informative meetings of the year in Iglesia

The purpose of the meetings was to present the new company and future developments.

During the last week of February, in the department of Iglesia, a multidisciplinary team from Vicuña was in charge of conducting the first informative meetings of the year. The objective was to present Vicuña Corp, the joint venture between BHP and Lundin Mining that will advance in the integration of the Filo del Sol and Josemaría projects.

Five meetings were held in the towns of Angualasto, Rodeo and Villa Iglesia, with the participation of municipal authorities, journalists and members of the community. A total of 54 people had the opportunity to learn about the creation of Vicuña, the continuity of its work plan for the current year, the challenge of achieving a solid integrated project from an engineering, logistic, safety, environmental, social and economic perspective, as well as to express their opinions, expectations and queries.

Vicuña Corp.'s Citizen Participation Plan proposes a space for two-way, open and transparent dialogue with the community and stakeholders; as a sign of its commitment to building respectful relationships based on trust with the communities to work together, incorporating their perspectives in our plans and activities.
